Dr Martina Viljoen is a Research Fellow at the Odeion School of Music, University of the Free State, South Africa. She publishes on topics concerning hymnology, cultural musicology, and the aesthetics of music. Her edited work includes a volume on critical theory and musicology in The International Review of the Aesthetics and Sociology of Music, June 2005, and book publications published at the Croatian Musicological Society in 2015 and SunBonani Scholar in 2020.
