Layla Al-Hameed is a sessional academic and researcher at Edith Cowan University; she achieved a Doctor of Philosophy in Business from Edith Cowan University in 2018. Her thesis focused on Quality Assurance Systems implementation and overcoming system constraints. Layla is passionate about research in the area of refugees and asylum seekers, helping identify the barriers isolating them from fully integrating in the wider community. She seeks strategies that support and promote refugees and asylum becoming engaged members of their new society.
